Our AATOC controller is designed specifically to do one thing, and that is to automatically regulate your water system, so you'll no longer have to deal with the headaches of doing it manually!  Forgetting to top-off your water on a daily basis could be catastrophic to your aquarium or reef system, because your pumps can run dry and burn up.  Similarly, using a non-controlled pump system to trickle water in, can easily cause your sump or aquarium to overflow (been there, done that), creating an entirely different set of nightmarish circumstances.

Because we travel frequently, we were looking for a very basic, yet fail-safe controller that wasn't going to require a second mortgage.  Unfortunately, we quickly found out they simply didn't exist as a single component.  Thus, in order to have a system that was capable of automatically replenishing evaporated water, maintaining a very specific pre-set HI/LOW water level, and utilizing dual integrated kill switches that will immediately shut down the water inlet in case of a problem, we had to design and build it ourselves...

Water flow is regulated (ON/OFF) via the use of a solenoid that is activated with the float switches that are placed in either your sump or aquarium.  When directly connected to an RO/DI unit or pressure tank, this controller does not require the use of an additional pump to move your water, because your line pressure does it for you, in the same manner as an icemaker or drinking water in your refrigerator door.  The use of an ASOV (Automatic Shut Off Valve) with your RO/DI unit is highly recommended, to prevent your RO unit from running constantly.  These very simplistic and low cost ASOV's can be purchased online from www.airwaterice.com for only $12.00 + s/h.

As an added safety feature the primary circuit is controlled with a panel mount fuse, and a green power indicator light will always be illuminated when the unit is plugged in and turned on.  This instantly takes away the guesswork of trying to remember if you turned the power on...  Because of the ON/OFF toggle switch, there is also no need to unplug the unit when working in the tank.

When installed in-line with a Nilson (Kalk) Reactor, this controller must always be connected to the INLET side, so that only purified water ever flows through the polymer solenoid valve.  While it's always a good idea to use check valves in your system, they are not absolutely necessary with this controller, because of the maintained line pressure behind the NC solenoid.  This eliminates the headaches associated with back siphoning!

Unlike peristaltic pumps that utilize a combination of silicone and rubber tubing that weakens over time (requiring regular tubing replacement), a well cared for solenoid should last for several years.  This controller also uses the very same readily available 1/4" OD x .170" ID polyethylene tubing that is standard with icemakers and RO systems.

Priced at only $150, the AATOC has numerous redundancy and safety features that many of the other more costly units on the market have failed to provide.  Our unit comes complete with the control module, dual-float probe and probe mounting bracket.
